Clapham, London

We’re so excited to celebrate our big day with you!

Our Story

How did you two first meet?

The first time we met we were sat next to each other on the grass on Clapham Common at the end of our Church’s touch Rugby summer tournament. We got chatting and shared a laugh, and a few days later we’re stood next to each other again on the tech desk at our Church. We couldn’t avoid each other!

Who made the first move – and how?

To no-one’s surpise Megan has always been someone who knows what she wants and has no patience. After being friends for 6 months Megan couldn’t stand it any longer and sent a text asking Ben for a drink.

Who’s taking out the bins?

Ben 🙂 He owes me for asking him out

What was your most memorable date?

We had a very lovely date hiking the Seven Sisters clifftop walk. It was made particularly memorable when Ben asked Megan to be his girlfriend sat on the beach halfway through the walk.

What are your favourite things to do together?

We love road trips, coffee together on a Sunday morning and watching silly comedy videos.

Where are you heading for your honeymoon?

Mauritius! Neither of us have been and we can’t wait for time on the beach, in the pool and hiking in the jungles.

What’s the most memorable trip you’ve been on together?

This would have to be our incredible 2 week road trip around the Canadian Rockies, we both fell in love with that part of the world and would love to go back.

What’s the best meal you’ve shared together?

For our one year anniversary in Whistler, Canada we shared a 4 course dinner with wine pairings that unfortunately ruined every future dinner together and gave us a taste for the finer things in life.

Travel

Train and Underground

We’d recommend travelling via the Underground so you don’t have to think about parking or being the designated driver!

The nearest tube station is Clapham Common which is a 5 minute walk to the church.

Driving

If you plan to drive please allow time to find parking. You can park on the streets surrounding the church which is free on weekends.

We recommend streets: Clapham Common North Side, Victoria Rise, The Chase, Macauley Road

There are limited parking spots available on the church grounds so please let Megan and Ben know if you need one of these.
